History |
CASTER LIGHTING was
established in September of 1988 by five co-founders. These initial
founders
 brought
a vast experience / knowledge in professional lighting manufacturing especially metal die
casting. For this reason, we named our company "CASTER LIGHTING".
We initially selected from the vast varieties of lighting products to specialize in
zinc-aluminum alloy die casting outdoor lighting products. Due to early deficiencies in
resources, all company members worked very hard in "tough time" to establish our
company. We always maintained our direction to provide only the Highest Quality Products
backed by good service and customer relations at a competitive price. We appreciate our
early customers' faith in us. As their loyalty, allowed us to grow into the Company we are
today. To all our long time "old" friends, we would like to say thanks for your
support and allowing CASTER
LIGHTING to succeed.

Current |
In 1992, recognizing an increasing deficiency of labor in Taiwan, CASTER LIGHTING shifted production to Guan Dong, China by creating
a "state of the art" manufacturing facility and a Hong Kong coordinating office.
We still maintain all R&D, accounting, and sales staff in our enlarged Taiwan office.

This shift to China allowed us to maintain
competitive price with our traditional high quality products / services. We also decided
to depart from the traditional Taiwan style of manufacturing (assembly only) and establish
our China facility as a totally "In House" manufacturing plant. We invested
large capital and people resources, so today, we control all phases of manufacturing from
raw material through finished products, including all die casting, production processing,
stamping, welding, powder paint coating and many electric accessories. Due to this
decision and investment, we can stand firmly in a tough business environment.

We also directed our marketing efforts to shift
and expand our customer base from North America accounts(85%) - to today, we service
customers worldwide, including Europe and Pacific Rim so that our North America business
accounts for 50%. This shift has strengthened Caster both financially and professionally
with greater experience in dealing with various demands from many places. We today are
"truly" an International professional provider of Quality Lighting Products.
Also, we can offer, meet and surpass all Government approvals such as: UL /
CSA / GS
/ TUV / CE / NEMKO /
SEMKO / SAA,
plus many others. We also hold many International Patents of our products.

In 1997, we
expanded our manufacturing facilities by 70% and doubled our offices to further allow us
to maintain our competitive market position and handle increased sales volume. We also
invested in R&D to develop new products to enrich our product family from Halogen
Lighting to a broad line of HID Lighting. (High Intensity Discharge) |

We
also expanded our marketing efforts to add to our business by many OEM and commercial
accounts in addition to Home center / DIY products into our customer base. In 1999, we proudly announced
the recognition and approval of ISO-9002 system, thus, be able to supply ever better
service and quality assurance.

Future |
|
We firmly believe today's worldwide concern for
Energy Efficient Products and Environment Protection, and the demand in the future for
Energy Saving Lighting will insure a continued growth of our company. Recognizing this
demand, we have invested $ 2.5 million in enhancing plants, hardware equipment, machines,
facilities and instruments. We also implemented computerized management systems in all our
facilities. These investments ensures Caster's continuing business responsibility of
providing only the Highest Quality services / products to our clients and will allow us to
meet our clients' future expectations. We do believe this direction will keep continuing
confidence of our customers.
